Terms of Use & Cancellation Policy

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and to direct bookings made with Aranya Kutir Resort (bookings made via MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, or another platform are additionally governed by that platform's own terms).

2. Reservations

A booking is confirmed only once we have acknowledged your reservation in writing (email/WhatsApp) or your booking platform has issued a confirmation. Check-in and check-out times, ID requirements, and any advance payment will be communicated at the time of booking.

3. Guest identification

As required under Indian hospitality regulations, all guests aged 18 and above must carry and present valid government-issued photo identification (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID) at check-in. Check-in may be refused without valid ID.

4. Cancellation & refund policy

• Cancellations made [X] days or more before check-in: [full / partial] refund of advance paid, less any transaction charges.
• Cancellations made within [X] days of check-in: [partial refund / no refund], as advance payments go toward securing your cottage and pre-ordered meal ingredients.
• No-shows: the advance payment is forfeited.
• Date changes: subject to availability and may be accommodated once free of charge if requested at least [X] days in advance.

Refunds, where applicable, are processed to the original mode of payment within [X] business days.

5. Meals & pre-orders

As we do not run a walk-in restaurant, all meals are prepared to order based on preferences shared at booking or shortly after check-in. Please share dietary requirements, allergies, and approximate meal timings with sufficient advance notice so our kitchen can plan accordingly. Last-minute changes may not always be possible.

6. Guest conduct

Guests are expected to respect the property, other guests, and the surrounding forest and orchard environment. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a stay in cases of unsafe, unlawful, or disruptive conduct, without refund.

7. Liability

Aranya Kutir Resort is not liable for loss of personal belongings, or for injury arising from activities undertaken at guests' own discretion (e.g. forest walks, beach visits, water activities at nearby locations), except where caused by our negligence.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at [Sindhudurg / your preferred jurisdiction].
