Aranya Kutir is a family-run nature resort in Kokan, not a hotel block — 18 individual cottages plus one large villa for bigger groups, spaced apart across gardens and orchard so every stay feels private and unhurried. Set in Mithbav's thick coastal forest of cashew, mango and berry trees, it's become known as one of the top 10 resorts in Devgad among birdwatchers too, for its hornbills and other forest species. No restaurant. No menu card. Just your meal, made when you ask for it.
Aranya Kutir doesn't run a walk-in restaurant, and we think that's a good thing. Our kitchen cooks for the guests who are actually staying with us that day — nothing sits under a heat lamp, and nothing is made in bulk. Every meal is prepared to order, using local Konkan ingredients: coconut, kokum, and produce from the very orchards around your cottage.
Simply let us know your meal preferences and rough timings a few hours in advance — ideally when you book, or right after check-in — and our kitchen will plan accordingly. We serve pure vegetarian Konkani food only — Jain and mild-spice requests are happily accommodated with notice. It's one of the small things guests mention when they tell us we're having the best service with delicious food, among the top hotels in Devgad.
